Welcome to August’s Minute on Wealth. I’m Mark Burgdorf, advisor at Burgdorf Wealth Managers in Fairview Heights. We want to start off the month by giving a shoutout to Matthew Cox for passing his CFP exam! Congrats, Matthew.
This August – and ideally all year round – the theme is cybersecurity. Why? Because every 2 seconds, someone becomes a victim of identity theft. In fact, statistics show that, whether you’re aware of it or not, it’s very likely that your information has been exposed in a data breach or hack.
Think about that for a second.
However jarring the statistics are, they don’t mean that you can’t improve your cybersecurity and prevent future breaches on your personal information. We’re here to help. At our cybersecurity event in the evening of Thursday August 17th we will go over some cybersecurity rules to help you take action and stay safe in the online world. We are excited to help you develop the mindsets and take steps toward strengthening and maintaining your cybersecurity.
